Bankruptcy Abstracts provides summaries of the newest opinions released in Chapter 7 and 13 consumer bankruptcy cases. While the newsletter, which was formerly known as BAPCPA Abstracts, has a focus on issues that arise under BAPCPA, the newsletter also collects cases on a wide range of other issues important to consumer bankruptcy practitioners.

Because the editorial staff retrieves opinions directly from each court’s website, the newsletter discusses both published and unpublished opinions, including many not available on commercial databases. The full text of each abstracted opinion may be downloaded from the newsletter website in PDF format.

Bankruptcy Abstracts is published 22 times a year, on the first and the 15th of most months, in electronic form only, by Robin Miller LLC of Birmingham, Alabama. Subscribers to Bankruptcy Abstracts also receive free access to Bankruptcy Research Guides. Both the Research Guides and back issues of the newsletter may be accessed at any time via the subscribers' section of this website.

Each issue of Bankruptcy Abstracts is e-mailed directly to subscribers in Adobe Acrobat 8 (PDF) format. Subscribers may elect to receive their newsletters in Microsoft Word 2003 format or to receive a copy in each format. Please indicate your preference when entering your subscription. (Please note that this newsletter is not available in hard copy format.)
